SLS AMG, CL 65 or E 63 are truly magnificent beasts and having watched the great attention to detail and extraordinary care put into assembling them, I was indeed looking forward to experiencing the finished product. One car that I did not get to drive, although I have not fully given up all hope peering into the future, is the fascinating SLS AMG GT3.
The Source of Speed: AMG (part I)
written by Matthew K.Affalterbach, a village close to Stuttgart in Germany, is not exactly what one would expect. Driving into town via a small road, right through a typical suburban residential area, you are presented with an unlikely sight: the HQ of AMG and all the amazing cars they produce! Literally one hundred meters separate provincial tranquility from the ultimate automotive experience in form of a multitude of SLS AMG, C, E, S 63’s and the occasional disguised prototype driving by. The omnipresence of high performance engine sounds kept my head turning constantly. Here I was at the heart of where the cars I love are created. I will be frank; all I wanted was to get into one of them and drive!
Travelog: The Shark Island Adventure

Thanks to Mercedes-Benz, and in particular the SLS AMG, I have had the privilege to enjoy the best that automotive technology currently has in store. The outmost driving pleasure behind the wheel of the SLS AMG surely catered to my great passion for cars, speed and the Mercedes-Benz brand. But there is yet a further aspect that deserves recognition; a quest to experience the best of the best whenever I have a chance to do something. Now this admittedly is most often a mission impossible but I figured it is definitely worth giving it a shot every time and this May I abandoned cutting-edge cars and technology for my second passion, namely diving and nature.
Challenge yourself – SLS AMG iPhone and Facebook app
written by Matthew K.
I know that some of you are waiting to lay hands on the SLS AMG. Since I cannot make promises, I’d rather recommend you to do some serious app gaming – SLS AMG apps, of course! First of all, you have to “choose your weapon”: iPhone or Facebook. Both ways are of course highly recommendable and entertaining but I very much like how you have to steer the SLS AMG by moving your iPhone.
The Best Of SLS AMG Reporter
written by Matthew K.The last half year has really been special and thanks to Mercedes-Benz, AMG and in particular the SLS AMG I was able to have a real ball and I hope you did as well. Good times demand a reminiscing and when enjoying yourself, time has a tendency to pass by really quickly so I thought it would be nice to feature a little recap of all the places and rides the SLS AMG facilitated. Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Tokyo, California, Abu Dhabi, Berlin, New York and hopefully more is soon to follow.
But it is all about the ride and whilst I am diving 600 km off the coast of Costa Rica (no worries, I will bring souvenirs) at the Isla da Coco, I hope you will enjoy my little concoction until I am back and again ready for more.
